Packing for a short trip is easier when you separate two decisions: what you need to take and how you will organise it. Vacuum compression can reduce the volume of clothing, but it does not replace careful packing or change its weight.
1. Choose your clothes before compressing them
Lay out everything you plan to take and group clothes that work together. Adjust your selection to the weather, your plans and whether you can do laundry during the trip. Avoid filling the backpack just because there is still room.
2. Keep compression for clothing
Put clothes and soft items in the compression compartment. Store your laptop, delicate objects and documents separately. Keep anything you will need during the journey within easy reach.
3. Seal the compartment and remove the air
With MOVO, close the compression bag and use the included pump to remove air through the valve. Then check how the contents are distributed before closing the backpack.
4. Measure and weigh your packed backpack
MOVO measures 49 × 32 × 15 cm and expands to a depth of 20 cm. Before flying, check the dimensions and weight of your luggage against your airline's rules and the fare you have booked. Compression reduces volume; it does not automatically make a backpack eligible for your baggage allowance.
5. Leave room for the journey home
Think about how you will organise worn clothes and anything you buy during your trip. Taking a little less on the way out can make the return journey easier.
